Where it is

The city does not publish a separate boundary for Belmont-DeVilliers. DeVilliers Street is the western edge of the North Hill Preservation District, and Wright Street is its southern edge, according to the city’s plan, so the Belmont and DeVilliers intersection sits just off North Hill’s southwest corner, inside the Urban Core redevelopment district.

For the figures on this page we counted the addresses within a quarter mile of the Belmont and DeVilliers intersection that are inside the Urban Core district and outside both North Hill and the downtown zoning districts. Escambia County’s address map places about 520 addresses there, all in the city: about seven in 10 in ZIP code 32501 and the rest in 32502. About one in four carries a unit number, which marks apartments, condos and offices. The streets with the most addresses are DeVilliers, Wright, Belmont and Gregory streets, with Reus, Coyle and Barcelona streets running north and south.
