Downtown parking

The city manages its downtown parking through Park Pensacola, and managed parking returned on Oct. 5, 2026, after a free period during the Palafox construction project, the city says. From its Know Before You Go and Rates and Facilities pages:

  • When you pay: paid city parking is in effect Tuesday through Saturday. City parking is free on Sundays, Mondays and federal holidays.
  • Free spaces: the city says more than 60% of its parking is free around the clock, including the Community Maritime Park surface lot (except during special events), the Bayfront Parkway and Belmont-DeVilliers lots, and the lot at 601 Commendencia St.
  • Garage: the Jefferson Street Garage is the city’s parking garage, with monthly permits available.
  • How to pay: the ParkMobile app, text “PARK” to 77223, or a pay station. You do not need to display a receipt.
  • Which spaces are the city’s: blue signs with two-digit zone numbers. The city manages less than 29% of downtown’s paid spaces; a ticket without the city logo came from a private lot.
  • Enforcement: 8 a.m. to 11:59 p.m., seven days a week, the city’s rates page says.
  • Disabled parking: free in any city-managed space with a valid placard or plate assigned to the driver; loading zones, time limits and other restrictions still apply.
  • Tickets: request a hearing within 30 days of the citation; details on the enforcement page.
