Bakeries in Pensacola: bread, pastries, doughnuts and cakes

Pensacola’s bakeries are mostly in the neighborhoods around downtown: Great Harvest in Belmont-DeVilliers, J’s Bakery on 12th Avenue in East Hill, Craft on Scenic Highway, Nothing Bundt Cakes on East Gregory Street and Parlor Doughnuts on Palafox Place. Krispy Kreme and Smallcakes are farther north, on North Ninth Avenue and Bayou Boulevard.

How we made this list. The places come from OpenStreetMap records inside Pensacola’s city limits, the same records that feed our local directory, checked against each place’s own website on Oct. 11, 2026. We added a place the map missed from the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation’s restaurant inspection records and checked its address against the city limits. The list is alphabetical. It is not a ranking or recommendation; nobody paid to be on it. A place can write to us to correct its entry.

The places

Craft Gourmet Bakery & Cafe, 615 Scenic Highway. A bakery that makes its breads, pastries, gelato and specialty cakes by hand in-house, and holds cake tastings for special occasions. Its Scenic Highway location adds a cafe with table service and brunch until 2 p.m.

Great Harvest Bread Co., 301 N. DeVilliers St. A bread bakery and sandwich shop in Belmont-DeVilliers. Its breads include honey whole wheat, and it takes holiday preorders.

J’s Bakery and Cafe, 2014 N. 12th Ave. A bakery and caterer that makes pastries, cakes, cookies, bread and croissants, plus custom and wedding cakes. Its site now goes by J’s Bakery and Catering.

Krispy Kreme, 980 N. Ninth Ave. The doughnut chain’s Pensacola shop, open from 6 a.m. every day.

Nothing Bundt Cakes, 501 E. Gregory St. A bakery chain for Bundt cakes, including birthday cakes, with delivery.

Parlor Doughnuts, 120 Palafox Place. A downtown shop for layered doughnuts. Its page says this location sells doughnuts and coffee only.

Smallcakes, 5046 Bayou Blvd. A cupcake shop in the chain’s list of locations. Each Smallcakes is independently owned and sets its own hours, the chain says, so call ahead.

Panera Bread on Bayou Boulevard is not listed: its location page would not load for us and we found no recent state inspection for it.
