Downtown: Symphony Sparks & Stars and the bay fireworks

The Pensacola Symphony Orchestra plays a free patriotic concert, Symphony Sparks & Stars, at the Hunter Amphitheater at Community Maritime Park, 301 W. Main St., behind Blue Wahoos Stadium. In 2026, its 10th year, the concert ran from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m. on Saturday, July 4, according to the WUWF community calendar listing, and marked America’s 250th birthday.

The symphony’s own event page describes the program: the U.S. Marine Corps presents the colors, then the national anthem and a flyover, patriotic favorites and an Armed Forces salute. The concert wraps up just before Pensacola’s Fourth of July fireworks over the bay, presented by the Greater Pensacola Chamber and Pensacola Young Professionals. Times are estimates.

  • Bring chairs and blankets for the lawn.
  • Listen live on NewsRadio 92.3 if you watch from somewhere else.
  • Food trucks and vendors were open through the evening in 2026, according to Pensacola Beach’s Fourth of July guide.

Blue Wahoos Stadium: Red, White & Wahoos

In 2026 the stadium held Red, White & Wahoos on July 3 and 4, with waterslides, lawn games, music and concessions. July 3 ended with a stadium fireworks show; on July 4, ticket holders could see the symphony and the downtown fireworks over the bay. Tickets are sold by the team.

Pensacola Beach: Red, White & Beach Bash

Across the bay, Pensacola Beach held a two-day Red, White & Beach Bash on July 3 and 4 at Gulfside Pavilion and the Pensacola Beach Boardwalk, with live music, local vendors and family activities, ending with the fireworks over Santa Rosa Sound at 9 p.m. July 4. A Fourth of July 5K ran on the beach July 4.

Getting to the beach means crossing the Pensacola Bay Bridge and the Bob Sikes Bridge or Theo Baars Bridge. Check FL511.

Fireworks at home

Florida law lets people use fireworks on three designated holidays: Independence Day, New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day, under section 791.08 of the Florida Statutes. The law does not override local government rules or a properly recorded homeowners’ association covenant that bans fireworks.
