Easter in Pensacola 2027: egg hunts, brunch and services

Easter 2027 falls on Sunday, March 28. That is the weekend right after Escambia County Public Schools’ spring break, March 22-26, so many families will be home all week. Egg hunt organizers in Pensacola usually post dates in March; none had announced a 2027 hunt when we checked.

Egg hunts

Play Pensacola Easter Egg Hunt. The City of Pensacola’s Parks and Recreation Department runs an annual Easter Egg Hunt. The newest details the city has posted, from its 2022 announcement, show how it works: free admission, a nonperishable food donation for Manna Food Pantries, music, bounce houses and photos with the Easter bunny at Community Maritime Park, 301 W. Main St., with separate hunts by age:

• A sensory-friendly hunt for ages 3 to 10, with extended time and no amplified sound
• Ages 3-4, with one parent or caregiver on the field
• Ages 5-7 and ages 8-10, with parents on the sidelines

The 2027 date, place and age groups have not been announced. We will update this section as soon as the city posts them.

Church and community hunts. Churches and neighborhood groups hold their own hunts the weekend before Easter. Organizers can send a date, time, place and ages through our contact page.

Easter brunch

Easter is a Sunday, and these restaurants serve brunch every Sunday, according to their own menus. Holiday hours and menus can change; call ahead and book early.

Good Friday and the holiday weekend

Good Friday is March 26, 2027. In 2026 the City of Pensacola treated Good Friday as a holiday: Thursday garbage routes were picked up Wednesday and Friday routes Thursday, according to its 2026 holiday schedule. The 2027 schedule had not been posted as of Oct. 10; check the holiday collection page in March.
