When and where
The festival takes over Seville Square and the neighboring Fountain Park and Bartram Park, according to the festival FAQ. Two landmarks it gives for finding the grounds are The Fish House, 600 S. Barracks St., and Hub Stacey’s, 312 E. Government St. The live music and the children’s area keep their own schedules, posted on the festival’s music and kids pages.
Food
Seafood is cooked fresh on site, grilled, blackened, smoked and fried, the organizers say: Gulf shrimp, grouper, crab, crawfish, scallops and oysters, in dishes from low country boils and shrimp and grits to gumbo, jambalaya, crab cakes and lobster rolls. Look for the Gulf Seafood Verification sign on vendors serving verified Gulf seafood.
Flavors of Fiesta, the area formerly called Gulf to Table, has local restaurants and caterers serving tapas-size portions of their signature dishes. Past participants include The Fish House, Flounder’s Chowder House, Chet’s Seafood, Crabs on the Beach and Nick’s Boathouse, according to Fiesta Pensacola. There is also chicken, burgers, barbecue, vegetarian food and desserts for people who skip the seafood.
Music, crafts and kids
The music is free. Acts who played the festival before they made it big include Chris Stapleton, Brothers Osborne, Ashley McBryde and The Revivalists, Fiesta says. A Friends of Fiesta VIP area sits next to the music stage.
More than 150 artisans and craftsmen sell jewelry, pottery, glass, woodwork, paintings, photography, soaps, candles and clothing, which Fiesta says makes it one of the largest arts and crafts fairs in Northwest Florida.
Parking and the trolley
All downtown lots near the festival are owned by private businesses and will likely charge a fee, the FAQ says; the festival does not set or control those fees. For city spaces and maps, see parkpensacola.com.
